A finely carved Balinese Barong Mask. The Barong is a mythical creature that represents the positive forces, protection and goodness in Balinese Mythology. It is believed to possess magical powers and is considered a guardian spirit that brings prosperity and wards off evil spirits. Small chip at bottom but in good condition as per age.
