Garuda is a divine being and a significant figure in Southeast Asian religious traditions, particularly in Hinduism and Buddhism. Garuda is the mount (vahana) of the God Vishnu and is revered as a symbol strength, courage and speed. They symbolize the connection between the earthly and celestial realms, emphasizing the link between humans and the divine. Beautifully carved and painted, has a natural split in the wood and the tip of its tongue has gone, typical with age.
